Jeremiah 3:14-15 (KJV)
14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:
15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
So if you have a pastor that is still standing at the door of the church looking for the lost sheep or checks on you on facebook, phone or email…just remember that its due to his caring for you and not control or nosiness…frankly, you should know the difference if you have been with that pastor for any amount of time because their track record speaks for itself.
Luke 15:4-7 (NKJV)
4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?
5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’
7 I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
Come home, get fed, get your wool sheared, parasites removed and sores/wounds healed. You wont be condemned but embraced and restored with grace. This goes for people who were once at DTCC and even if you attend somewhere else…come home or go home to your Shepherd and fellowship with those who love you once again.
