Summertime is a classic time for things to drop off in the ministry world…there are vacations, along with schools being out, travel and other moments of downtime. Nevertheless, its not a time to take a break from God. He never sleeps nor slumbers but he is at rest. That means you must enter into His presence because Jesus Christ finished the work that fateful day at Calvary’s Cross. So always take time to recharge, release, refresh and renew…I endorse it and encourage it…but always remember to never take time off from praying, loving, serving, praising and worshiping God…
Why is this important? Because the Devil and his army “never” take time off from trying to ruin your lives and always looks for an opportune time to break in on the unsuspecting, apathetic, compromising or distant believer through isolation and relentless negativity/pessimism.
Breaks denote a crack or hole in the foundation…and it shows as a sign of weakness to the enemy…this is contrary to the scripture that states that we are to Give the Devil NO Space!
Lastly, the Bible says that we are to Pray without Ceasing or (Always Talk to and stay connected to God). If not, then your private conduct, social media posts, fellowship with Gods people and walk with Christ become distorted, worldly and blessings soon begin to dry up in the Spirit…Iv’e seen it time and time again…so before you hit that Out of Office/Out of Presence of God for the summer button…be reminded that God has been faithful to you even when we have been so unfaithful in giving, serving, and loving others consistently…Don’t take a time out on God…clock back in, stay on fire and pursue God like never before…your life will be better for it!
